The Ontario Ministry of Health and the Massage Therapists governing body
(CMTO) have deemed it safe for Massage Therapists to open. And, they have given
strict Covid-19 guidelines and protocols that all Massage Therapists MUST
follow.
I took some time to educate myself on how to keep all these guidelines
and protocols to properly set up my treatment space and ensure all my clients
feel safe and stay healthy.
Listed below are some of the protocols and guidelines I have been able
to implement:
- All clients must be screened
for Covid-19, 24 hours before their appointed treatment time.
- Paperwork will be completed
over the phone.
- Text me to let me know you
have arrived.
- Masks must be worn before
you walk into the treatment space.
- Hand sanitizer at the door
for everyone’s use.
- Only the person who has an
appointment will be allowed into the treatment space unless we need to
take special considerations for a care provider.
You can expect that I will have:
- Washed and disinfected all
high touch areas in the treatment space and bathroom, and where I wash my
hands.
- The floors are
vacuumed and washed at the start of the day and between appointments
- An air purifying unit with
UV light to kill viruses and germs will be used 1 hour prior to your
appointment
- The treatment space is
disinfected and left to air out for an hour before the next appointment.
These are just a few of the measures I have implemented with a goal of
keeping everyone as save and comfortable as possible.
